Coming home | Monriley

Amber had been going a little loopy lately - with three kids all under the age of two under one roof and taking care of them by herself, she was stretched thin. She watched as the twins and her little girl all sat against a long body pillow she had put out and watched a kids channel. These were the moments when she was happy to be a mother - when all of the kids were quiet and not making the other cry. She sighed as she got a text from Cory, a smile immedietly spreading on her face. “Daddy’s coming home guys!” she said to the three kids, only Mark turning back to look at her, he had a smile on his face. 

 Just then the door opened at a tall brunette walked in, duffle bags in hand, he looked tired. “Hey baby!” Amber said to him, walking over and entrapping him in a hug. “How are you boo?” she asked him, placing her hands on his shoulders and standing on her tip- toes to kiss him tenderly on the lips. She had missed having Cory around, just his presence made her more calm. 

Cory closed his eyes enjoying his girlfriend’s embrace. The days had gone by so slow without her with him. He was just praying she didn’t complain. She had just had a baby and they needed the income to ensure their lifestyles stayed the same, maybe even improve. Dianna had given him such a hard time about put  the road before her and his kids, and if Amber did that he’d probably just feel like utter crap. He smelled her hair and enjoyed her sweet perfume.”I love you so much.”He told her first. He was amazed the babies were so quiet. He pulled her inside and smiled.”Oh Amber I missed you guys so much. How have you been? I hope you’re not to worn out. I can’t explain how much I appreciate you taking care of my kids.”He said.”Di is coming to get the kids, she’s taking them to Paris.”

Finally back home

and Corrin won’t let me go anywhere. I missed my girls!

Love and Life ||Monriley

Cory had been rehearsing with Bonnie Dune all week. They had a few shows coming up, a few out of town and he had yet to tell Amber. There had been so much going on. They had settled into their new home and Amber had her career endeavors going, Delilah and Mark were getting so big and he was getting them often. Corrin was slated for arrival soon, he didn’t want to let Amber down or stress her out so late in the pregnancy. He wanted everything to continue to go so perfectly. He was going to make sure of it.

Cory headed to his car and grabbed his cell. He drove home, stopping to pick her up some flowers and food along with a dvd they could watch. He just wanted to relax and be with Amber. He parked in the garage and headed in smiling.”Babe! Where are you? Can you waddle downstairs? I have takeout and that movie you wanted to see. I’ll take a really quick shower and we can cuddle.”He said as he unloaded the bags. He opened the food and sneaked food off her plate.

Making Up or Letting Go|| Monriley

Cory stared at his phone looking at text from Amber and Dianna. He was been in the middle of Christmas shopping for everyone in his life.He had been picking up things Amber would need for her pregnancy. He hadn’t been expecting to hear from seeing as she distant herself from him even before she seemed to have set her sights on Mark. He could not even think of what was going on with that. He knew the Amber he knew would never want to hurt him or Chord. It had to be a reason she was causing all this confusion. He wanted to help her. Maybe when he got drunk  his approach was all wrong but now he was going to try a gentle approach because silly enough he still had feeling for that girl. He was missing Dianna but he really did want things to work with Amber. They had a connection. She was beautiful and he knew she had a kind soul. He kept wondering had he done this to her in their short time together. Had he put her in a position where she was rebelling against her own pregnancy and the idea she was no longer carefree Amber? He just wanted the Amber he’d spent those beautiful nights with back.

Cory looked down at his phone once more. Amber told him she didn’t feel right. That there was something wrong with their child. He was in line at the store being checked out. He sped the process along before speeding outside to his car. He could not gauge her reaction, this seemed like an ongoing thing, he just did not know what to think. He tried not to get emotional. He kept thinking about how great things happened when Dianna had Lilly and Mark.”It’ll be just like that.”He said to reassure himself. He parked in her driveway and knocked on the door. The time he spent waiting on her to answer felt like an eternity.
